2x72” EdgeCore Premium Ceramic Grinding Belts

Thanks to advanced abrasive technology, our newest ceramic material delivers maximum cut rate, longevity, and cooler grinding temps. Ideal for high pressure grinding, EdgeCore ceramic micro-fractures during use, continuously revealing fresh abrasive grain. Its versatility makes it a great choice for knife makers and blacksmiths. These belts work great for stock removal, blade profiling, and blade sharpening. EdgeCore ceramic belts are also beneficial for welders, or anyone working with metals.

Why Choose Red Label For Your 2x72 Ceramic Sanding Belts?

Red Label Abrasives is a family-owned manufacturer based in Michigan. All of our products are produced right here in the United States. We manufacture industrial-grade belts made-to-order. So, you’re getting fresh, high-quality belts that have just been produced instead of belts that have been sitting on a rack for months. As a family-owned company we take great pride in the customer service and technical support we provide. Our abrasive technicians are always here to help you with your order, troubleshoot a belt issue, or help you find the best belt for your application. You’ll have trouble finding better belts with better customer service anywhere on the web.

Why Are Ceramic Belts The Best Belts For Knife Making?

Years ago, it used to be that zirconia was the best grain type for knife making. That is no longer the case. Ceramic belts cut faster than zirconia belts and last longer as well. Red Label’s Edgecore Ceramic belts take the ceramic advantage even further by evenly microfracturing during use to mitigate heat (even at high grinding speeds). Aluminum oxide and zirconia belts are still used for knife making today, but you’ll get better performance and value out of ceramic belts. No other belt will profile, bevel grind, edge sand, or sharpen better.

Why Use 2” x 72” Sanding Belts?

If you already own a 2” x 72” belt grinder, you’d choose a 2” x 72” belt, because that’s the size that would fit your grinder. However, if you’re new to knife making and shopping for both a new grinder and belts to accompany the grinder, you may be curious to know why you might choose a 2” x 72” grinder. At Red Label Abrasives, we don’t particularly endorse any specific size of grinder. Great knives could come from a wide array of different grinders. Nevertheless, the great thing about 2” x 72” grinders is that they strike a nice balance between being large enough for intense grinding and stock removal while remaining small enough to easily perform fine, detail work. The 72” length also helps to reduce wear and heat build-up that smaller belts experience. 2x72 inch grinders also have more accessories available (rotary platens, surface grinding attachments, wheel attachments, etc.). It is for these reasons that 2x72 inch grinders and belts are the most common size used for knife making.

What Grinders Will These Belts Fit?
